"The next generation of leaders from Punjab must stand with us," Singh said, standing beside the group of more than two dozen men, including those who carried out the latest attack and the man who, on Monday, declared his allegiance to Islamic State militants.
"All those who continue to deny their identity and are against Pakistan, we will ensure you face the consequences for your deeds," he said. "Your name cannot be forgotten in Afghanistan."
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif offered his condolences to the victims of the attack, and asked the families of the victims to ensure that they "remain together".
Singh also called for a national debate to address why Pakistan was being drawn into Afghanistan, a topic that has become a deeply divisive issue in the country and in some areas of the world.
One reason why Pakistan was not involved in the war against the Taliban is because the group was also fighting the Soviet Union and the Soviet military in Afghanistan, in an effort to maintain its own presence.
It is believed the Pakistanis, however, did make some tactical sacrifices. One of the attackers shot dead eight fellow militants who were trying to steal his Kalashnikov rifle, according to officials and the Taliban, who are claiming to have killed hundreds of foreign fighters.
On Monday, the group also killed at least five Afghans on the outskirts of the capital Islamabad, officials and residents said.
Pakistani authorities earlier said that several of the attackers were Pakistani-speaking, but said only six had lived in the province. They did not name any of the seven who are dead.
The United States, which has had close ties with the Pak Army since the 1990s, said that its Pakistani troops have been fighting alongside Pakistani forces on the Afghan-Afghan border for years and that such operations did "absolutely not" serve as an excuse to launch such an attack.
However, some analysts believe that the decision to target civilians may have been more about political expediency than a clear sign of the threat from the Pakistani military.
After the attack, the Pakistani military launched a counter offensive on Pakistani soil.
Pakistan's foreign minister said on Saturday that he wanted to see U.S. President Barack Obama address the nation on the issue of terrorism during their meeting this week, according to the Associated Press news agency.
Pakistan's army chief, Gen. Raheel Sharif, also expressed condolences, according to the AP.
But many in Pakistan are now questioning the actions of the country's army chief

Darbys falls residents stuck with tank water from sewage treated ponds after recent flooding
Residents of the North West Perth flood-hit town of Dickson have found out that they have to pay their water bills for months after a nearby sewer treated nearby drinking water.
Dickson residents will now be forced to pay their $40 monthly water bill each week to a company that owns an old sewage treatment plant owned by the city. The same company, which is owned by a previous firm, has been the owner of the wastewater pond.
The sewage treatment plant was recently decommissioned following an extensive flooding of the city in late April last year.
Dickson residents David Brown and Michelle Langer said the change in address is unacceptable, saying the city had never paid for it before and had been using the land as an underground sewage treatment plant for its wastewater.
"It's just so, so obvious. We've always paid the city," said Mr Brown.
The city council has refused to pay for the sewer treatment plant, which is owned by Waterfront North and Dickson Council.
David Brown said the company is responsible for the tankers used to treat and store the water coming in from the nearby river to the treatment pond and in turn has been forced to provide the city with a new sewer system to pay for the treatment plant.
"[They] are not a party here... they are only in charge of paying off people's water bills," he said.
"We need these new systems, you cannot have the old ones and say 'oh well you have to pay your old payment when the new ones come'.
"There are other water pipes in the city and there are other connections, but [Waterfront North] own that tank at the front, they also own this water pipe from the sewer system to the river and that connection goes straight to the tap."
After an inquiry, Waterfront North did agree to pay $15,000 towards the $40 bill a week for the next 6 months.
Dickson councillors were expected to speak with the company at their city council meeting in the next few days.
